Government-Supported Forklift & Workplace Training

We are proud to support individuals accessing funded and supported training programmes across the UK.

We work in partnership with government-funded organisations, charities, and employment support services — including the Jobcentre Plus, prison and probation services — to help people gain practical skills and improve their employability.

Through these partnerships, we deliver safe and compliant forklift and workplace training to individuals who are:

  • Returning to work
  • Changing careers
  • Recently released from custody
  • Seeking to improve their job prospects
  • Developing new skills to enter the logistics sector

While we are not a direct funding provider, we are proud to support funded and supported programmes that make training more accessible to those who need it most.

How funded training works

If you are working with:

  • Jobcentre work coaches
  • Probation officers
  • Rehabilitation or resettlement services
  • Charitable employment programmes
  • Local authority employment support teams

You may be eligible for funded forklift or workplace training through your support provider.

In most cases:

  1. Your advisor confirms suitability for training
  2. Funding is arranged through their programme
  3. We deliver practical, compliant training at one of our centres or an agreed location
  4. You complete assessment and receive certification

We keep the process clear and straightforward, both for learners and referring organisations.

What training can be funded?

Depending on the programme and eligibility criteria, funded learners may access:

  • Counterbalance Forklift Training
  • Reach Truck Training
  • Bendi / Flexi (Articulated) Training
  • Pallet Truck Training
  • Manual Handling
  • Workplace Safety Courses
  • Refresher or Conversion Training

All training is delivered to industry standards and in line with:

  • PUWER (Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998)
  • HSE L117 – Rider Operated Lift Trucks: Approved Code of Practice

Learners are assessed to ensure they are competent and safe to operate equipment.

Supporting people back into work

Many funded learners come to us feeling unsure or lacking confidence. That’s completely normal.

Our instructors are approachable, experienced, and used to working with people from a wide range of backgrounds. We take time to explain everything clearly, including:

  • Which licence is most suitable
  • How forklift certification works
  • What employers look for
  • What to expect during training

We also support learners with:

  • English as a second language
  • Learning difficulties
  • Gaps in employment history
  • Previous convictions (where appropriate for employment pathways)

Our focus is always on helping individuals move forward positively and realistically.

For Organisations and referrers

If you are a:

  • Job centre advisor
  • Probation officer
  • Employment support provider
  • Charity or community organisation
  • Recruitment partner

We are happy to discuss partnership working.

We provide:

  • Clear pricing structures
  • Flexible scheduling
  • Reliable communication
  • Learner progress updates (where appropriate)
  • Training delivered at Coventry, Northampton, or on-site

We understand compliance, safeguarding, and reporting requirements, and we aim to make partnership working simple and professional.
